5 Things I Regret Buying
Regret doesn't seem like the best word to use in this instance but lets be real using the title 'the things I shouldn't have bought in hindsight' isn't quite as snappy. Shopping has changed so much for me over the years, I rarely shop at the moment and it's a really good thing. I used to get the shopping itch so bad where I didn't feel happy until I'd bought something and that was such an unhealthy relationship to have with material objects. And of course, I do still love things and I will never think that is a negative thing and I'm on an ever-changing an evolving journey with how I shop but here are the things I've come to regret purchasing over the past year or so.
4 Beauty Treats That Are Always On My Desk & Things I Do Everyday To Feel Ready To Take On The Day
2017 has been the year of wearing a lot less makeup for me, there have been weeks lately where I've not reached for it at all and it's really refreshing. I used to rely on makeup so much to make me feel complete and to be able to leave the house and still feel like myself and even confident is a huge thing for me. Even on the days where I don't wear makeup, there are still plenty of beauty products I find myself reaching for and here are the 4 that have got permanent residency on my desk and the things that I do every day without fail to feel ready for work.
Things To-Do To Feel Fresh For 2018
The strange in-between run-up to the new year is always one of my most loved times. Granted, I never know what day it is and getting back into work always feels particularly difficult but one thing I always make sure I've got time for is completing a few set tasks that help me go into the new year feeling fresh and ready. I'm not a believer or a subscriber to the whole 'new year, new me' kind of thing but something I really do believe in is making sure you're feeling as ready as you can and here a few of my favourite things to do...
A High-End & Budget Duo That Work Wonders
Dedicating a post to just a couple of products isn't something I do very often at all but when you find a duo as good as this then it has to be shared. Something I struggle with is uneven patches of texture within my skin left over from old blemishes that have scarred and not only left a lovely red mark but also either a lump or a dint. One of my main aims with my routine as of right now is to keep my complexion looking as bright and flawless as possible and these two products have been doing that and then some.
How To Enjoy Time Off Without Feeling Guilty or Lazy & Some Of My Favourite Ways To Feel Festive
The vast majority of us right now will have broken up for our Christmas break, whether it's for a couple of weeks or a few days it's incredible to be able to take time off. And of course, I can't write this post without giving a nod and a big thank you to all the people who still work over the festive period, those who are in the emergency services, catering, retail or any other job where you're still putting the time in, thank you. And I'm only taking a few days off but something that I'm determined to do this year is to take those few days without feeling incredibly guilty and worrying that I should be ticking things off my to-do list. When really all I want to do is lay on the sofa, read and eat my body weight in strawberry creams. So if that niggling guilt is something you feel then here are a few ways to try and get around it and some of my favourite things to do over the festive season that are a fail-safe way to feel joyous.
The Homebodies Guide To Entertaining
As we're now well into the festive season it means that you're more than likely seeing your loved ones and entertaining. As I'm such a big homebody there is nothing I love more than blending the two together and seeing my favourite people in the comfort of our homes. And today in collaboration with Robinsons and their new Fruit Creations range I'm going to be sharing a couple of awesome things you can do this holiday season without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
7 Beauty Products That Became Staples In 2017
2017 hasn't been a great year for a lot of things but one thing that has been excellent for is the number of awesome beauty discoveries I've made. There hasn't been many products that have disappointed me, which is weirdly one of my favourite things to write about. As after all, gushing about products is all well and good but it's even more useful when you can share the things that you've not liked too. Anyway, I'll save the duds for another post and here are all the products that have become long-term staples in my routine in 2017.
Christmas 101
In the past, I've not been all that excited about the festive season. It's something that I've found pretty hard and generally pretty stressful but this year feels so different. It's my boyfriends and mine first Christmas together in our house which is super exciting and something that has lifted my typical Scrooge spirit. And I've teamed up with Homesense this year so we've got all bases covered from gifts to entertaining to decor and I'm so excited to show you everything we've got in prep for the festive season. If you're not aware of what HomeSense is, they're part of the TK Maxx family and if you're a lover of the home section in TK Maxx then you will adore Homesense. It's an entire store dedicated to those unique items that always have up to 60% off and shopping there always feels like you're on a treasure hunt. There is always something incredible in store and they have fresh deliveries throughout the week so you're bound to find something for you or a loved on this season.
