Bluffing Bright Eyed

Of course, looking super healthy is something that we all want to achieve but it's not always possible. So we have to fake our way to a healthy-looking complexion. And here are some of my favourite products that do that in the most subtle way but they make a huge difference.

PIXI GLOW TONIC: Any type of exfoliant always reveals a brighter looking complexion. But my favourite way to stop things looking so dull and sallow is with an acid toner. I've returned to the cult classic Pixi Glow Tonic after straying away from it for a few years. I find it incredibly gentle on the skin and it doesn't tingle or sting at all which is something some might like in their toners. But I prefer them to feel kind and nourishing to the skin. The glycolic acid helps to gently slough away dead skin cells and reveal a brighter looking complexion. Then the aloe vera and ginseng hydrates and locks in moisture in the skin to keep things looking plump.

TOO FACED HANGOVER X PRIMER: Whenever I'm not feeling and subsequently looking so healthy the first place it shows is in my complexion. I struggle with dehydration but my skin isn't typically dry so I need something that will help with hydration without making things feel slippy or greasy. This primer from Too Faced contains coconut water and probiotics which can make the dullest of complexions look fresh and radiant. It's a great option for those who just want their primers to keep their skin looking fresh throughout the day with all the added benefits of a priming base.

LAVERA GEL EYE CONTOUR*: Puffy eyes can be particularly problematic at this time of year due to hay fever. This gel from all natural brand Lavera helps to hydrate and tighten the eye area. Whilst still feeling incredibly cooling which is much needed when your eyes are feeling puffy and sore. I always like to keep my eye products in the fridge so that they're that little bit more effective at calming down any puffiness.

SOAP & GLORY SEXY MOTHER PUCKER LIP GLOSS*: Plumping lipgloss brings back terrible memories from school where they used to be so strong you feared for the safety of your lips. Luckily this product from S&G is a long way away from that terrifying feeling. A light glossy sheen on the lips can add such a fresh look whilst the plumping element helps to make thin and small lips look that little bit fuller. Often I have to reach for liners to make my lips look fuller but this makes skipping that step easy. It does have a slight tingly feeling when first applied but it only lasts a few minutes so it's nothing to fear. And it's not at all sticky which is a common problem with anything glossy.

PERRICONE MD NO HIGHLIGHTER HIGHLIGHTER*: I absolutely adore highlighters for helping make the skin look healthy and radiant. But so often powder highlighters can look heavy and overpowering on the complexion. But this no makeup makeup item from skincare brand Perricone MD provides a soft focus glow to any areas that it's applied. It contains light reflecting pearls that bring natural radiance to the skin. Even though it's a liquid it doesn't look wet or sticky and it settles down to an almost satin finish.
