Naked Basics

Urban Decay is the holy grail of the neutral eye palette. After coveting after both of the orginal Naked palette and the Naked 2 I finally purchased the Naked basics. Now this is a fairly new release for Urban Decay and the only matte palette that they have ever released. First lets get things straight, I did not need this palette I was having a slight melt down in Debenhams and of course my bank card got the brunt of it but I am so glad I finally picked it up. A perfect selection of neutral shades for everyday use, being the neutral girl that I am all the shades are absolutely ideal for me and this along with my MAC quad is all I think I will ever need in the eyeshadow department. The quality of these shades is absolutely beautiful and so buttery soft as well as blendable and you cant beat the value for money either, 6 shades for £20 is pretty good going I say.

All of the shadows could be used for numerous things rather than just on your eyes. Venus could be easily used a highlight on the cheekbones and Crave could be used a liner and Foxy & Walk Of Shame could set concealer if you were in a rush and needed a quick fix. Something else that drew me to this product is the packaging its absolutely adorable as well as being practical with a large mirror, also this feels slightly similar to the NARS packaging with that rubbery texture.

So what are your thoughts on the Naked Basics palette?
