The best of the high street; the make up

As much as I do love high end make up sadly its not something I can always splurge on and whats the need when there are such gems available on the high street? This is the first part of a series I am going to be doing on budget beauty so first up is the make up:

Brush wise you really cant do any better than the Real Techniques brushes from Samantha Chapman. Now to some these may seem a little pricey but comparing them to MAC or Sigma they really are quite the bargain. I only use these brushes for my entire make up routine as well I just don't need anything else. They are fantastic quality, cruelty free, easy to wash and so soft all you want to do is sit and stroke your face with the blush brush (not like I do that or anything). The only downfall with these brushes is that they come in sets and sometimes you don't really want the other brushes that come in the set but the quality completely over run that annoying factor.

Collection as they are now called triumph in the world of concealer and are incredibly popular in the beauty blogging world. The Lasting Perfection Concealer, do I even need to say any more? This covers up blemishes like no other without drying or caking on the skin and at the tiny £4 price tag who needs more. Another concealing product is the Illuminating Touch Concealer and again this is fantastic and has an even cheaper price tag. It really brightens up my under eye  and could probably be used to highlight other areas on your face. With this product in my beauty stash I will not be coveting the YSL Touchè Eclat any time soon.

Rimmel are really stealing the show at the moment. A few of my favourite products from them are the Stay Matte powder, Kate Moss matte lipstick and the Scandeleyes waterproof liner. Not only are these products cheap but they are absolutely wonderful. The Stay Matte powder apart from the crappy packaging is really good at setting everything into place without looking chalky or too powdery. These Kate Moss lipsticks really blew up around November time and its easy to see why, a opaque matte lipstick which doesn't try out the lips for £5.49 when in MAC you would be paying £14 its easy to see the attraction. Finally is the Scandeleyes waterproof liner and I have the shade nude which is great for brightening up the under eye area and the first high street brand to really bring out a nude liner other than UNE I believe. Another favourite product is the Lash Accelerator mascara which I really need to pick up another tube of as mine has given its last lashing.

Revlon are another brand which I like to dabble in frequently especially for their lip products. My favourite from Revlon has to be the infamous Lip Butters, they are so easy for everyday use its easy to see why they are so coveted in the beauty world. I own the shade 'Berry Smoothie' and 'Candy Apple' both quite autumnal but so easy to just chuck on and not really worry about getting it all over.

L'Oreal are quite pricey when it comes to the budget beauty buys but one product from them that I always just back and forth from is the Lumi Magique foundation and as much as I love my Laura Mercier Silk Crème its so expensive to be using for everyday. I find that the colour range of L'Oreal foundations are the most suitable for my complexion on the high street as I find them a lot of them to just so orange.

The last 3 products are all cheek products and first up is the Topshop highlighter in 'Crescent Moon' and this is a beautiful product for I think the £10 that it cost me. I love the Topshop make up line in general everything is extremely well priced and they really pushed the boat out there for the cream blusher market. Sleek are known for their blushes, at £5 they rivel the high end blushes with their high pigmentation, their eye palettes are also amazing for the money. Finally is Natural Collection a brand that I have used for years now and their blush in Pink Cloud is something that I always have floating about my vanity.

Of course there are so many more that I could list in this post as there so many amazing brands on the market but these are the products that I use daily and products that I really do think beat some of the higher brand offerings. I am excited to a the body & hair care part of this post as there my real favourites! I hope you enjoyed this post and if there is anything you think I would like please recommend it below :)
