Beauty on the go
Touching up on the go is not for me unless I am going somewhere for the entire day like London when I really might need to but for everyday I don't require to carry half of my vanity in my handbag. So I just stick to all the necessities in my Whistles clutch bag and transfer it to all my different handbags when I swap them around to the one I am using on that day. I like to keep it down to the bare minimum and don't like to let things accumulate in here as I really don't need 5 lip balms with me for a trip to Tesco now do I.
Hygiene is the thing that I really try to keep on top of when I am out and about, I go through so many bottles of hand sanitiser I have lost track but my favourite is the Carex Protect & Plus hand gel. It not only cleans your hands it also gives them a little bit of nourishment too which makes it that little bit better than the others that can be quite drying. For any instances that hand sanitiser just won't cover I have these little Hello Kitty wipes which come in handy for just about any situation I might be in like removing my red lipstick when I am in the car on the way home from dinner with the boyfriend being the number one use. To aid any dryness caused by hand washing etc my current hand cream is the Neal's Yard Bee Lovely hand cream which was freebie in some magazine last year, it doesn't leave my hands greasy or sticky so it is perfect thrown in my bag.
Like I said I don't carry around make up but in the warmer months the Kleenex shine absorbing sheets are a life savour even if I had powdered in the morning by mid day I am a little too glowy (sweaty) for my tastes. Lip balms are a must of course and the one that has permanent residence is the Burts Bee's tinted balm in pink blossom and then if I am feeling fancy is the Korres Lip Butter in plum. The final couple of things are a comb which I picked up Boots incase a severe case of gap fringe appears and then a compact mirror which my bestest gal pal bought for Christmas a couple of years a go from Cath Kidston.
