Seasonal Transitions

I think it's safe to say that the seasons have officially transitioned now and we're fully immersed into autumn. Whenever the seasons change I can automatically see it in my skin, it doesn't cope well with change. So I've had to up the stakes a little and reach for more nourishing options in all aspects of my beauty routine.

My complexion still needs a deep cleanse on a bi weekly basis and lately I've been using the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask. This is a really beautiful option for when your skin is feel parched but is in need of a thorough cleanse too. It's super light on the skin and it doesn't dry down to that awful uncomfortable feeling that a lot of cleansing masks do. Even though my skin is generally a little more oily it always needs more hydration in the colder months as it can quite parched. The Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser* has been my go to for the AM & PM lately and at first I thought my skin was a little sensitive to the amount of essential oils it contains. A month on though it is keeping my complexion incredibly balanced as well as full to the brim of moisture.

For lips and other any other areas on my body that need an extra TLC I've been reaching for my trusty Nuxe Reve de Miel* and Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. For the price I think the Nuxe is absolutely beautiful in the winter months, it's perfect as a night time treat and then under a matte lipstick during the day. My 8 hour cream is such a wonderful product all year round as it's my do it all balm but when A/W hits I always seem to get ridiculously dry eyelids, thats right you heard me eyelids. So I apply a tiny amount on over night and it really helps to eliminate any dryness that I might have and I can happily wear eyeshadow again. The Origins Rejuvenating Hand Cream has been sitting around in my stocks for a while and it's an underrated product from the brand. Although Origins isn't my first port of call when on the hunt when I think of a hand cream but applied over night this works wonders on dry hands.

I'm pretty militant with using hair oil all year round but I've been applying the Kérastase Elixir Ultime with Rose* onto dry hair and it's really been helping soothe any fly aways which I'm really prone to in the winter. It nourishes my hair without weighing it down or making it too slippy either which is something that can easily happen with oils. I don't like to just use oils in my hair either I love to pour them into my bath, it makes for the ultimate luxury bath. This little set from Neom* is ideal as you get to try out a variety of scents. I definitely don't scrimp when it comes to moisturiser, there is nothing better than slipping into your pj's with silky smooth limbs. The Righteous Butter from Soap & Glory is one of my favourites in the winter, I adore the masculine scent of it.
