That lovely boyfriend of mine has just come home from working in America again and he arrived with a little black bag that makes every beauty loving girls heart flutter. Yes he went to Sephora for me with a PDF in hand and picked up some items that I'd had my eye on for years and I was so excited to finally try them out. Although Sephora does ship to the UK now I've never took the plunge and made a huge order as I really only wanted these two items and here are my thoughts on them.
If you've not heard for some unknown reason Nars have discontinued Douceur which breaks my heart a little and made me even more desperate to get my hands on Tarte's blush in Exposed. I've lost count about how many people sung of the praises of the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour blushes but all that you've heard really is true. I couldn't believe just how pigmented this was with only one swipe of my Real Techniques Stippling brush. It's a little bit more pink than Nars Douceur which I love and it's quickly knocked Nars of the top spot. If you are looking for a cheek colour that adds a little bit of life to the complexion without being too overpowering shades like this are absolutely perfect for everyday and can be paired with any lip colour.
As a self confessed lazy girl when it comes to my lips combined with the never ending need for a hydration boost a tinted lip balm is my best friend. Again I've heard so much about the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms that I was desperate to get my mitts on one and I went for the tinted variety in the berry shade. It looks scarily dark in the bullet but on the lips it's the most perfect berry shade that can be built up to be a really opaque finish. I prefer to wear it on the sheerer side of proceedings personally as it is just so pretty for everyday wear. I've been suffering with some pesky dry patches lately and this has not only helped that but it also hasn't clung to any of them either which is surprising for how pigmented it is. The scent of this balm is absolutely dreamy and does the way that it wears as sometimes tinted balms can wear a little funny but none of that with this.
