A Festive Make Up Look

So the big C is finally here, I'll be honest with you guys and say I'm really not a festive person I seem to have lost all my festive spirit as I've grown up. That being said I do always look forward to spending some quality time with my loved ones whilst eating as many strawberry creams as I possibly can. Ever since I was a child I've always wanted to wear my favourite party dress, because when else can you wear your best dress and more glitter then you can shake a stick at? So of course I just had to share what make up I plan on applying on the big day.

Base: As my Christmas days are split between my family and my boyfriend now I like to make sure I have a base that lasts all day without needing any touch ups. Of course I go for a primer and I plan on using a combination of the Clinique Anti Redness Solutions Primer along with the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch*. The two together leave me with a dreamy base for applying my beloved YSL Forever Youth Liberator Foundation which is probably my favourite foundation of the year (a tough call to make) as it lasts all day without going cakey or separating.  To set that all down in place I use the Rimmel Match Perfection Powder which is awesome at smoothing out the complexion whilst setting everything firmly into place.

Cheeks: If there is a season for highlight it's definitely Christmas. The combination of Tarte Exposed Blush (the perfect red lip companion) and MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle is what I'll be reaching for as the two compliment each other perfectly.

Lips: Of course I've got a red lip lined up, even though they can be a faff when you plan on consuming all the cheese and chocolate the house has to offer. The Revlon Matte Balm in Standout has been my favourite red of the year as it's just so easy to apply and they leave a satin finish to the lips so they aren't too drying. To keep this in cheek I will be applying a translucent powder through a tissue over the top to really set it into place. Whenever I wear a red lip I always prepare my lips with the Lush Lip Scrub in Mint Julips which is a complete staple for a bold lip lover.

Eyes: I'm a one wash wonder kind of girl when it comes to my eyes, no cut crease or outer V talk over here. Of course I have to go for something gold and glittery because if not now then when? To prime my eyes the MeMeMe Dew Pot* is my go to as it helps form a bond with any shadow I might apply over the top. Then of course is the star of the show is the NYX Eyeshadow in Sahara* which even though it does have the tendency to fall out throughout the day I still adore. Completed with lashings of the Clarins Truly Waterproof Mascara* and then voila my look is complete.

This is my final post before the 25th so I wanted to wish you all the most amazing day and I hope you all have a fantastic time whatever you get up to.

                                                                                             much love,
