What I Want To Achieve In The Rest Of 2019

We’re past the midway point of the year when it would have made the most sense to write this post but it doesn’t feel too late to talk about what I want to achieve with the rest of 2019. Something I’ve done differently this year is set myself more fine-tuned monthly goals rather than having huge things to work on throughout the year. But, there are some things that I feel like I’m constantly working towards and want to achieve by the end of the year and they look a little something like this.

A Love Letter To Sundays

I’m not sure what it is about Sundays but they’re my all-time favourite day of the week, Monday is a close second but there is something about Sundays that make my heart so happy and it's been that way since I was a child. Especially really early on a Sunday morning as the world feels so quiet and peaceful. And weirdly, it’s always my most productive day too and this is everything I love to do on a Sunday.

My Most Loved Stationery Right Now

-post contains gifted items-

It’s been a while since I’ve spoken about one of the biggest loves in my materialistic life…stationery. A few years ago I was a little obsessed by picking up different journals and to-do list pads but then I found myself too scared to use them as they were just so pretty so I put myself on a spending ban and forced myself to use up what I had. But now I’ve been able to work in a few new paper products into my life and here are the details on my current stationery favourites right now.

Our Lounge Renovation: Before & After

We’re about 85% done with our lounge renovations, we’ve still got some finishing touches to do but we’re pretty much at the end of our to-do list and I can’t believe how much of a difference it’s made to the entire house. It’s a room that we’d put off doing anything to as we felt a little lost with what we wanted to achieve. So we took everything back to basics and the finished result is exactly what I wanted for this space as we’re pretty limited to what we can do with the area but I think the things we have done have had a huge impact and they look a little something like this...

The Gym Clothes That Have Lasted The Longest

My collection of gym clothes is something that I take serious pride in and honestly, I sometimes wonder if I was a gym instructor in another life with my love for athletic wear. And finding workout clothes that are not only functional, make you feel awesome but are long-lasting isn’t the easiest thing as so many things can lose shape within just a couple of months which is so frustrating. Over the years I’ve gathered together some awesome gym clothes that have lasted me nearly 5 years of exercise which is pretty damn awesome and these are the things that have been in my collection the longest.

Expectations vs Reality: Renovations

We’re currently in the process of renovating our lounge and whilst I was surrounded by paint and dust I got the idea for this post. There are so many blogs, Instagram profiles and YouTube channels dedicated to renovating houses and rooms but so often they skim over all the nitty-gritty. And when it came to making changes in our home I was not prepared for everything that goes into it and there are so many things I wish people would talk about more when it comes to the whole renovation process.

Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #11

Happy August! I always try so hard not to start these posts talking about the weather or how fast the year is going but it’s impossible. July was the hottest month on record and even though I certainly don’t want any more 38 degree days anytime soon I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to summer yet as I know this month is going to whizz by and before we know it we’ll be in September. The recent heatwave did mean staying in a little more with Josie & Edie as it wasn’t safe for them to be outside so I’ve got quite a good read, watch and listen list for you this week.

A New Skincare Brand To Add To Your Collection | AD

-this is a paid collaboration with Cetraben skincare-

When it comes to my skin whether it be on my face or my body as of right now I tend to prefer to go for products that are kind and nourishing over anything else as the older I get the more I feel that's what I need. And the latest brand to join my skincare ranks is Cetraben and the products that I’ve been testing out have been exactly what my skin has needed as of late and here are all the details on them and a little more about the brand.
