Something To Get You Inspired For Spring

My love for photographing florals has lasted for over a decade now and it shows no sign of stopping any time soon. Every Spring I’m eager to bring my camera out more and as I’ve gathered quite the collection of florals over the years so I thought I’d share them to you today just incase your tech needed a little refresh in time for Spring to roll back around!

Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen list #5

I thought I’d get in early with your instalment of the weekend reading list as typically I save them to go up at the weekend but this one’s coming to you bright and early on a Friday morning! Also, how excited is everyone that the nights are finally drawing out and Spring is in the air? When I’ve been getting up with the dogs at around 7am and I open the door to let them out the air feels different which fills me with excitement as Spring is on the way which means blossom galore. As usual, I’ve been saving up my most loved content online and here is everything I’ve been enjoying lately…

10 To-Do's For February

This year I’ve decided to change how I try and reach my goals and what I want to achieve. Instead of setting giant goals that spread over the entire year I’m taking things month by month and it feels so refreshing, I’m not sure why I’ve not done this before as it makes so much more sense as things change in our lives constantly which often leads to those big goals not making much sense anymore and then ultimately we feel like a failure when we’ve not achieved them. In January I didn’t really set myself that much to do as I simply wanted to get back into work and read a couple of books, both of which I did but for February I’ve got a few more things I’d like to get done and they look a little something like this.

The Power Of Scent | AD

-this post is a paid for advertorial with Ted Baker-

Fragrance is something that I’ve always had a special relationship with, it’s the one thing that I will apply daily regardless of what I'm doing as otherwise I don't feel quite like myself. It’s the final step in my routine whether I’m going out with a full face on in my favourite outfit or leaving without a scrap of makeup on and I think that’s the power of a good scent. It can boost confidence, evoke memories and it is without a doubt one of the most perfect gifts that you can buy either for yourself or for someone special. Ted Baker has just launched a brand new fragrance in time for Valentine's Day, it's called Est. ‘88 and I’m excited to share all the details about it with you today.

Everything I Wish I Knew Before I Went To University

When the 10-year challenge was floating around the internet a few weeks ago it made me realise that 2019 marks exactly 10 years since I went to university to study editorial and advertising photography. When I look back now at my time studying there are so many things that I would change and do differently, but they do say hindsight is a wonderful thing for a reason.

How I'm Trying To Be More Eco-Friendly In 2019

Being a little more eco-friendly and living a more sustainable life is something that has been on my mind for a while. I’ve written about it in the past and whilst it’s something that I feel passionately about it’s something that isn’t always as obtainable as we’d maybe like to think. However, I’m a big believer in doing what we can in the areas of our lives that we can, and this what I’m trying to do right now to cut down on waste and be a lot kinder to our precious planet.

Let's Talk: #ad & Online Disclosure

If you have anything to do with the world of ‘influencers’ (will that word ever not sound awkward and weird?) then you will have probably have seen the mass panic that happened before the weekend surrounding the disclosure laws. The business of blogging is frankly not something I have any interest in writing about as it can all be a little tedious and there are lots of people who are much more knowledgable on the subject than I am. But this post seemed important to write as there have been so many strange reactions to these guidelines and it was a little sad to see so such a reaction from content creators. I believe being transparent is vital online and these guidelines seem like a positive step in the right direction for all of us so here are a few thoughts on it all.

The Best Things I Wore In January

-this post contains gifted items-

Winter style is something that I’ve come to rather enjoy, not something I ever thought I’d be saying because I’m absolutely married to my pretty midi dresses come summer but getting bundled up in layers and exploring different textures has become one of my favourite things to do. This January the weather has been a little unpredictable, often it’s been over 10 degrees and then we’ve seen lows of -3 so finding a happy balance has been a little tricky and then let's not forget the false sense of security that the winter sun gives you.
