A few of my favourite things in April

I don't even want to talk about how quickly April has gone, I feel like I'm just losing weeks without realising. However I've been so happy this month I've been practically giddy with joy, A Little Opulent finally launched after months of trying to keep it a secret and we cannot believe the overwhelming response we have received. I feel like I'm on the right track now towards the career I want and feel a lot more secure in myself which is so important. It was also a good month for beauty products, so many new discoveries that I've had to keep a little list and some definite new staples in my routine.

The Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce texturising spray is by far my favourite product this month, it just does exactly what I want in a hair product it adds a lot of volume but has the hold of a hairspray and it smells absolutely dreamy. A less glamorous but necessary product has been the Anbesol Antiseptic that I've been dotting on mouth ulcers and even though it doesn't help 'cure' them it makes them a lot of less painful to deal with. Skincare wise I've been discovering the pure joy that is the Pixi Glow Tonic which for the price is much better value for money than its competitors, it isn't quite as luxe on the skin as the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Toner but delivers the same result. A new discovery is the Hedelweiss Cream Mask* and I literally wait with excitement for the nights I use this as the day after my skin glows the day after it's the best hydrating mask I've ever used by far.

My love for YSL bases is no secret so when the YSL Youth Liberator joined me I knew we would get along, a satin finish that provides medium coverage ands last all day is a winner in my books. It also has a pump which always mean I will love it a little bit more as it makes for fuss free application. I basically wrote a love letter to NARS Douceur in this post and the love affair is still going strong, it is such a beautiful shade that adds definition to the cheek as well as colour. I've been rotating the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in shade 04 and the Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry for practically the entire month and there both so beautiful. The Bourjois is more of a balm consistency that is a pretty light pink shade that is very hydrating and the Revlon balm gives a real opaque finish to the lips without being drying. Finally is the Chloé de Roses perfume* which I've been wearing on a daily basis and it lives on my desk so sometimes I just sit and smell the bottle it really is that good. It still has that classic Chloé scent but with a hint of rose I think I might love it even more than the original.
