Face #2

Can we all just take a moment for my severe case of chronic bitch face? It doesn't matter how happy I am on the inside it just doesn't transpire to my face, the number 1 reason why my face very rarely makes an appearance on here. I haven't done a make up post in a long time and I have switched around my products for once and getting some use out of an old flames in the form of the Sleek Au Natural palette and the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush which have gone unloved for way too long.

My base is the Rimmel Match Perfection, I have lost count at how many times I have mentioned this foundation now but I haven't used anything else since I picked it up in December you can read my full post on it here. I use two different concealers one for under my eyes I go for the Rimmel Wake me Up concealer which is illuminating as well covering, I like the fact this is quite salmon toned as it cancels out any blue or purple tones. The Seventeen Stay Time 18 hour concealer which is what I use around my nose, chin and on any blemishes that might have reared their ugly head. I much prefer this to the ever coveted Collection Lasting Perfection as it is no where near as drying and doesn't look cakey within a couple of hours. As the foundation leaves a satin like finish to my skin I like to add a little more luminosity with the MAC Lightscapade (Hayley Williams setting powder of choice too apparently) gentle swept all over to set everything in place.

I have had the Sleek Au Natural palette in my stocks since my university days and since I filled my mac palette it has laid forgotten in my vanity. Sleek really bring it when it comes to powder products I am a really big fan of the blushes already and for the money of the eyeshadow palettes and the quality you can't go wrong. I use a dark matte brown through my brow just to fill in any gaps that I might have then I reach for a peachy champagne bronzey kinda shade just to sweep all over the lid and I am done. I always set my brows with some sort of brow gel and my current one of choice is the No7 Lash & Brow Perfecter which keeps them tidy all day without being crunchy or crispy. For my lashes I have been something new which is the A La Carte Divine Lash* this has a small wand so I find it much easier to get right down to the root of the lash. I went a bit crazy with cream blushes in the summer and picked up quite a few and one of them was the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in soft pink, I haven't used it in a long time but dug it out a few weeks ago and I forgot how nice the formulation is. I seem to reach for cream blushes over powder at the moment as I find I don't need to highlight with a cream option as it leaves a nice sheen to the cheeks. Finally is lips now I won't lie if I am not really doing much I will just stick to lip balm well because I am lazy but if not I will use the Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial which a dusky pink shade which I like to blott down so it isn't so glossy as I find it can slip around a little.
