A few favourites in March

Pretty sure I have just slept through the past few months and were going into April already, seriously where is my time going? Month was a good month beauty wise and I could have included a ton more products but I shall save them for next month. April contains a lot of excitement for me and it is Easter which is my absolute favourite holiday along with pancake day, there is rabbits everywhere and the weather is getting warmer whats not to love? Anyway enough of bunny talk onto the beauty products.

Two hair products that have easily come to a 'holy grail' status in my routine are the Bumble and Bumble Seaweed Shampoo & Conditioner *. My hair has not felt so clean in years but not only does it give you squeaky clean tresses it is safe to use on colour treated hair and adds some serious shine too. Some old favourites came back into my life this month too in the form of the Liz Earle Skin Tonic* and the new formulated La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +*. The toner is just so soothing on the skin and the scent is so calming it is perfect in the morning, it has reminded me to pick up the full size version the next time I'm near a counter. My love for the original Effaclar Duo is no secret but by adding in something to help the appearance of scars it is even better than before. I have noticed a huge difference with the scars on my chin already and as that is something I really struggle with so anything to elevate them is good by me.

The lovely Jennypurr sent me far too many packages this month and in one of those fell out the Jurlique Rose hand cream and the Clinique Anti-Redness primer. I have been caught in a love affair with rose scented products including the toner featured in this post, the hand cream has been living on my desk and it is perfect throughout the day as it soothes my dry hands and cuticles without making things too slippy or greasy. I'm always on the lookout for products to help redness so the Clinque Anti-Redness primer was something I had my eye on for a while. If you have severe redness I wouldn't suggest this at all but if it is only mild that I have found this to be really handy especially for fresh blemishes. The Nuxe Reve de Miel* is something I have heard people sing the praises of for years so I finally gave it a test run and I now see the fascination. It is unique in the fact that is a matte balm but it really helps with any dryness or flaky patches and is perfect for under a matte lipstick too.

Finally onto some actual make up items and I have giving a few new things a try this month but the real stand out items are the Bourjois Java Rice Powder and the L'oreal polishes. The powder is the cheaper, loose version of my beloved MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in 'Lightscapade', it works so well to add luminosity as well as setting everything into place. I was always going to love the latest release from L'oreal and in particular the pastel lilac 'Nouvelle Vague'. The formula is great, the brush is wide and the shade is surprisingly opaque in 2 coats which can be rare to find in a light colour.
