My Favourite Vintage Pinks
Brown toned pinks seem to be all the rage at the moment, thanks to Kylie Jenner and I'm all aboard that bandwagon. They are shades that I would never think to pick up as they don't look all that exciting in the bullet or pan but when applied they are so beautiful. Pink is a funny shade for me to pull off and I've realised that products with a brown undertone and vintage feel to them are the ones that suit me the most and here are my favourites:
I'm a huge fan of lip liner used as a lipstick, this pencil from Lord & Berry is what actually started the obsession. It's the Kissproof Liner* in Blossom, it's pretty close to my natural lip colour so perfect on the days I'm going for a more minimal look. I apply this all over the lip and it just even them out and makes them look a lot fuller as well as adding a dash of colour and paired under or over a lip balm it isn't drying in the slightest. The Lord & Berry Intensity lipstick* in Brick Lip is something that I'm going to get a lot of use out this winter. It's quite dark in the bullet as is definitely my vampiest offering out of the bunch, I love these lipsticks as they are so creamy to apply and they last a good few hours.
The L'Occitane Lipstick is something that sadly isn't available anymore, I wish all my lipsticks came in that dreamy packaging though. I have the shade 1 which is an ideal vintage pink for everyday, I remember when I bought this I actually picked up the wrong shade and was so disappointed but it was a happy accident as I've worn it so much. I've not stopped singing the praises of the Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry since I picked it up in March. The shade, the formula just everything is what I like in a lip product and it even has a minty scent which is the icing on the cake for me. For blush I've not got all too many shades in my collection apart from the Clarins Cream Blush in Rosewood and the Bourjois Cream Blush in Sweet Cherry. Although these are complete dead ringers for each other in shade and formula I just had to include both as I wear them both on a weekly basis. I obviously could have included Nars Douceur for the 4th time this week but I thought I would stop playing the broken record.
