4 Beauty Products That Make The Effort When You Don't Have Time To
We all have those mornings where we've overslept or just don't have a lot of time on our hands. This is when I reach for the products that make all the effort for me when I don't have the time to do it myself.
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation : This has been recently reformulated, but I'm guessing it's similar to the original. I've using this a lot recently and I forgot just how good it is. It's a full coverage base that, even though, thick in consistency seems to blend within seconds, you only need a small amount for a flawless base. This eliminates any need I might have for a concealer which is ideal for those mornings when I don't have the time to be covering up blemishes or dark circles.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lighscapade: When used in conjunction with the Silk Creme this gives me the base of dreams. Although initially marketed as a highlighter I like to use this all over the skin as a setting powder. It adds light and dimension to all the right areas whilst aiding your base to last all day. If you're after a powder that makes you look you've got a soft focus filter all over your skin then this may be for you.
Revlon Matte Balm in Standout : A red lip always give the illusion that you've made a huge amount of effort with your makeup that day even when you haven't. One of my all time favourite reds to wear is this offering from Revlon. The chubby stick packaging makes it easy to apply and you don't need to faff around with a liner or brush for precise application. It leaves more a satin finish to the lips so is a little more nourishing than your classic matte lip but is still long lasting.
Topshop Powder Blush in Dream Phone: A good powder blush is a total fail safe on those days when I've only got minutes to spare. Although I'm a sucker for creams they do take a little more time to apply and blend. If I'm going for a powder then I will usually go for something that has a little bit of shimmer running through as it adds more life to the cheek and means you can skip highlighter.
