Too lazy for lipstick?
As a self confessed lip balm addict I have more than my fair share of the tinted variety too. Who doesn't love the option of having a colourful lip without the fuss of a lipstick?
The lease colourful out of the bunch is the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid this works as a natural lip exfoliator as well as a hydrating balm that adds a wash of gloss. Technically I really shouldn't drink fizzy drinks so this is my way of getting my lemonade fix and although I just want to lick this of my lips upon application but I try and resist. I know they have just released actual tinted versions so I currently eying up the rose shade which will probably become mine on my next trip to Boots. Burt's Bees are known for there incredible lip balms and this is the latest addition to my lip balm army and possibly my favourite. I swore by the Replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil for a good year but when that finally ran out I plumped for the Pink Blossom tinted lip balm with a similar formula as the prior but with more colour pay off. This is the tinted balm version of my beloved MAC lipstick in Creme Cup but with much easier application and lip care benefits to boot.
Ah the Maybelline Baby Lips do you remember the hype surrounding these finally making there way to UK shores? I literally went in every Boots till I got my hands on one of them. The other shades didn't really take my fancy apart from this one which is ' Cherry Me' whilst I am not actually that blown away by the formulation of these I can find them a little too slippy on application but the smell and colour of this is heavenly. It packs a fair punch with colour pay off so be warned don't get carried away when applying this without a mirror as you might be left looking like you have been drinking cherryade (fond childhood memory for you there). Finally is the Korres Lip Butters and if you read my posts often you will know I already love these little pots but I do wish they were in tube form rather than pot just for hygiene and on the go. I own a couple shades of these and the shade plum is my go to for the colder months it leaves a really pretty wash of berry on the lips that wears evenly it is almost like a cremesheen MAC lipstick but it hydrates and moistures the lips too.
