Do you ever see a certain blush or lipstick and think oh I love this shade I wish I had it in nail polish form? I know I do and I know that I use the term 'It's like so so in blush/lipstick/nail polish form' far too often, mainly when talking with my best friend or sister about my latest beauty purchase. Something I'm yet to get the hang off is having a suitable colour palette with my make up, I probably resemble a puffin bird most of the time. Throughout my beauty collection I have noticed some pairs sometimes even triplets popping up and it was about time I shared them.
Of course my favourites here has to be the red, what else could it be? I'm beginning to think these two might be the ultimate shade and Essie 'Aperitif' and the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in 'Standout' are complete dead ringers for each other. True classic red shades that sway more toward a blue undertone which I prefer compared to something that is quite warm as that doesn't sit too well with my skins natural colouring. The latest blush to join my collection is Topshop 'Dream Phone' and they have recently released powder blushes into the line and I'm a big fan of this shade. Anything with a hint of purple seems to work pretty well for me I'm guessing it might be down to my green eyes. This blush sits perfectly with the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse in 'Tempting Lilac' which is probably one of my favourite lipsticks I own, this is pretty much my lips but better I always find it strange how there slightly purple and not pink.
Essie 'Fiji' is one of the shades to go for when I can't quite decide what to wear, it looks nice as a pedicure or manicure. Something to match that perfect milkshake pink shade is the Korres Lip Butter in 'Jasmine' I seem to have a Pokemon type relationship with these and just need them all in my life. Onto the mid range pinks and when I saw my best friend she was always wearing what I consider the perfect pink lipstick, not too bright or nude just a pretty mid tone pink which is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in shade 4. By far my favourite cream blush of all time is the Stila Convertible Colour in 'Lilium' I can't wait to wear these two together as there in that dusky pink family I do so love. Finally is the real bright pinks and this is the Rimmel Salon Pro in 'Cocktail Passion' I deserve a slap on the wrists for never wearing this until now as it is a beautiful shade and I love the formula of these polishes. It is the perfect pairing to go with the Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Lipstick in 'Rose Eclatant'* which is a truly stunning shade I'm looking forward to getting a little bit more wear out of it in Spring.
