The Little Things in Life

The older I get the more I appreciate the small things in life that just add that something a little bit extra to my day. It could be the littlest thing but the combination of them all together have been making me one happy lady recently and here are some of them:

  • The return of Downton Abbey.
  • Sitting in bed in a morning with a hot cup of coffee and soaking in the last of the summer sun.
  • The chill in the air at night but being warm under the quilt.
  • Picking up new succulents.
  • Burning candles.
  • Binge watching Lost, I never finished it the first time around.
  • Ticking everything off my to do list.
  • Having a tidy inbox.
  • Seeing my best friend.
  • Good fringe days.
  • Looking through my blog & ALO's archives.
  • The IKEA aloe plant that is growing so well I can't quite believe it.
  • Those little moments in my relationship that make it all worth while.
  • When Bella comes into my room of her own accord.
  • Fresh bedding, I got carried away and put my deer pillow cases on the other day.
  • Finding a parka coat that fits perfectly.
  • Achieving the perfect beehive on the first attempt.
  • The thought that jumper weather is horizon.
  • How excited Bella gets when I come home.
  • Burger dates with Jen.
  • Fresh bunches of carnations scattered around my room.
  • Afternoon naps.
  • Having a bath after a long day.
  • The fact that my boyfriend is finally watching The Office and enjoying it.
  • Starting a new notebook.
  • That soon I will be able to put my electric blanket back on.
  • Seeing results from going to the gym.
  • Hair donuts, why have I never bought one before?
  • Brownie bites from Tesco.
  • Pilates.
  • Not having a spot in nearly 3 months.
  • Sleeping past 9 on my days off.
  • Making progress.
  • Nail polish that doesn't chip.
