Beauty SOS

We all have those beauty products that come to the rescue when we need them. I like to think of them as my beauty heroes that wear little capes and swoop in whenever I'm in distress. Of course, that is a complete over exaggeration but you catch my drift, right? Whenever I'm in a pinch these are the products that I can always count on.

When my skin looks dire: I can't say my skin is having its finest hour at the moment, 10 days with the cold from hell has reeked havoc on my complexion. The Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation is what I always turn to when my skin is looking dire. It's not the best with a parched complexion but otherwise it's just incredible for covering up everything without being too heavy or mattifying.

When I've got a pesky dry patch or cut: The Elizabeth Arden 8-Hour Cream is my do it all balm, there isn't a problem that this cannot fix. Cut or scrape? Dry lips? Flaky skin? Dry cuticles? It's got you covered, seriously it does it all and even though it's a pricey investment it's worth every penny and it's something I will always have in my stash.

When my hair isn't playing ball: For the most part, my hair is in excellent condition but every so often it will go through a stage when it just won't co-operate becomes a fly away mess.  A nourishing treatment such as the Lani Tropical Hair Treatment* is my saving grace. You apply it to dry hair and leave it on for as long as you see fit, I try and leave it as long as possible. Whenever I use this I have the best hair day, it makes my locks so shiny and nourished without weighing it down.

When I need a long lasting nail colour: Possibly my favourite nail colour of all time goes to Essie Maximillian Strasse Her, odd name but amazing shade. The Essie formulation is one of my favourites anyway, but there is just something different about this shade it lasts for days without a single chip.

When my skin needs moisture fast: Like I said my skin isn't at its best right now and I've needed a lot of help in the moisture department. The Helenere Hedelweiss Cream Mask* is what I turn to when I need a quick hydration boost. It's a beautiful cream mask that feels so gentle on the skin. It gets to work within minutes and when removed I'm left with baby soft skin.

When my body needs a treat: Whenever I've had a long day and been on my feet a lot I always like to smoother myself in the Laura Mercier Almond & Coconut Body Souffle. Not only does this smell like a dream it makes my skin feel buttery soft without being overly sticky. An incredibly expensive body product, but if you want to treat yourself in the body care area then I would totally give these a try.
