What Do You Really Need To Run An Awesome Blog?
After sharing my blogging process a couple of weeks ago in this post I realised that I didn't really touch on what equipment I use. Over the years it's changed so much and I think when looking at blogging from an outside point of view it can look very expensive and overwhelming. So from what blogging platform I use to the editing software, I spend way too long with, here is a look at my blogging tools as well what I think you need to run an awesome blog.
The I Need To Look Flawless Fast Edit
We can all probably safely say that sometimes we like to look really, really flawless. But that doesn't mean we always have the time to sit and buff and blend for hours on end till we look perfected. Personally, I'm a lazy girl when it comes to beauty a lot of time and whilst applying my favourite products brings me a lot of joy it doesn't mean I always have the hours in the day to apply them all. So I love to reach for the products that give me my desired effect with minimum effort and here are some of the best.
7 Outfit Ideas To Get You Through The Rest Of Winter
We're currently in the middle of winter and I know personally that throwing on my favourite fail-safe outfits is getting a little tiresome. And whilst the frost might look dreamy it's baltic outside and we all need to be dressed accordingly. So here are a few outfit ideas to hopefully inspire you for the rest of the season and see you through Winter well.
An Ode To Pink
There was once a time where loving pink was not considered all that 'cool' but now thanks to Pantone it's quite the colour to love and I personally couldn't be happier about it. From my homeware, stationery, clothing and of course beauty stash there are always hints of blush pink to be found in my life. I know I'm not the only one who has such a soft spot for the dreamy whimsical shade so here is an ode to a pink as well as a few of my favourite ways to wear it from lips to nails, I've got all bases covered.
6 Awesome Daily Habits I've Adopted
We're currently in the prime season for trying to adopt new habits and making a fresh start. And much like everyone else, I've got a list of new things that I want to try but I've also been trying to add some new habits into my life that are long term and they've been having an awesome effect on my life. Some of them are only small things and some are a little bigger but I thought it might be fun to share them with you today in case you've been looking for some new things to do too.
What Happened To All The Products You Used To Love?
After having to go right back to the beginning of my blog for some reason that I now can't remember it gave me such a nostalgic trip down makeup memory lane. It reminded me all the beauty products that I used to love and now don't talk about or in some cases they have completely slipped my memory. Although it's doubtful that many of you guys will remember my beauty posts from 5 years ago if you've been a beauty lover for a long time then I hope this will give you a little dose of nostalgia.
Dealing With Worry & Being An Overthinker
The later half of 2016 was really bad for me when it came to how much I was worrying. It got so out of control that it was consuming my days and leaving me a shell of a person as I was so pent up with worry and anxieties. Whilst I don't think I'll ever be able to stop worrying completely I know that I can work really hard to not let it take over me as much as it was last year. And if you're a chronic worrier you will know the horrible vicious cycle of worrying [mostly unnecessary] and then becoming worried with how much you're worrying and it's something that can be neverending. So in today's blog post, I wanted to talk honestly about dealing with worry and overthinking.
An Interview With Jo From The Gilded Teapot
It's been far too long since I shared an interview on this blog and I'm so excited for the first one back to be with the lovely owner of a tea shop nestled in away in Dorset. So here is what Jo and I from The Gilded Teapot got chatting about recently;
8 Nail Polishes Shades That Are Flattering On Pale Skin
Despite recent photographs of myself where it would seem I have clung onto my summer tan extremely well. In the harsh daylight, I'm very fair skinned. And besides finding a foundation that suits my snow white complexion perfectly I find that finding a nail polish shade that's really flattering on my pale hands can be difficult. So often nudes can make me look like I'm not too well and anything too bright and brash is horribly unflattering. So if you find yourself having the same issues, here are a few of my favourite shades to slick on my nails in the really cold months that make my hands look healthy.
