What's New In My Beauty Stash
As I've finally whittled down my beauty stash to a somewhat reasonable amount of product for one human to possess. I've been able to work my way through some new things and this time I've got organised, you know this obviously means I've been writing a list and keeping track of everything that I don't believe has ever had airtime on this blog. I've got some real gems to share with you today, it's kinda haircare heavy as I'm really into my hair at the moment after going over to the blonde side.
The Things That Are Really Keeping My Mental Health In Check At The Moment
Something that has taken me a really long while to properly understand is that there are always going to be ebbs and flows with the state of your mental health and that is ok. Sometimes you feel absolutely brilliant and sometimes you don't. Lately, I've gone through a really good patch, there have been wobbles here and there but nothing too serious and there have been some things that have really been making a big difference to me so I thought I'd share them with you today. As always when it comes anything health related what works for one will never work in the exact same way for somebody else and these aren't prescriptions, just merely what has worked for me as of late.
A Homeware Release That You'll Love
- this is a paid advertorial from Tesco -
Last week I whizzed down to London on the train into the heart of Soho to check out Tesco's A/W Homeware ranges that are set to be released in August for the upcoming season. There were previews of the new releases from Fox & Ivy, Go Cook and Tesco's own homeware range and boy were they beautiful. We're due to redecorate a lot of our house later on this year as it's been painted white for nearly 3 years and it's starting to fade and look a little worn out. And now we've lived together for a year and had our house for a while we really know what we want. Which I think is something that is so important when it comes to decorating as you might think that you want something desperately but when it actually goes on the walls it's a whole different story. So now we're really settled in and especially with the addition of the dogs we know what is practical as well as what looks nice too. I left leaving the press day feeling so inspired with all of the possibilities of what we could do for our home and I'm excited to share with you the new releases for you as I think you'll love them as much as I do.
Why Beauty & Fashion Is So Important
Running a blog that has a heavy fashion & beauty element to it you might know that I have a soft spot for the subjects already but lately I've realised just how important they are to me. They're often perceived as silly topics that are all about consumerism, vanity and being a little bit self-absorbed but I truly believe people get them all wrong. And as my relationship with the two things have changed so much over the past few years I thought it would be the perfect time to write this post and explain why I love them oh so much.
How I'm Trying To Work On My Time Management Skills & Making Time For Things I Love
Something that I've mentioned quite a lot on this blog is that I really struggle with is my time management skills. I'm super organised and I can write a to-do list like a pro but I do struggle with managing my time and schedule properly. And that's become even more prevalent since I've become busier with two pups, running a house and just trying to keep up with life, seriously how do people with children do it? Anyway, here is how I'm currently trying to manage my time a little more efficiently and make time for everything that I love in life.
4 For A Simple Summer Glow
The weather has been surprisingly spring-like in the UK, I think I can safely tuck away my parka, right? Or is that just tempting fate? And with the warmer weather I've been going through my beauty stash and seeing what will be good for when I want to wear makeup on the days where it's seriously balmy. And I want something that is lightweight but still gives me a little bit of a confidence boost. As much as I love sitting and applying a full face sometimes I need something quick and easy that provides coverage and glow and that is exactly what these 4 wonderful products do.
6 Reasons Why Blogging Will Always Be Important
Truthfully, I've lost count of how many posts I've seen lately about the blogging world being dead and I can't deny I find them for the most part incredibly frustrating to read. There is no denying that the blogging world has certainly changed and it's not as booming as it once was, but dead? No, I don't think so and here are some of the reasons why I think blogging will always be valuable.
Head Over Heels For Highlighter [Again]
A beauty product that had been gathering a little too much dust in my makeup stash was highlighter. There was no big reason to why I hadn't picked it up in a while, I just hadn't fancied it. But something made me pick it up a few weeks ago and I've fallen seriously back in love with those glow givers. So I thought I'd share some tried and tested favourites with you incase you fancy a little bit of an extra glow this summer.
Why Sometimes We Need To Have A Bad Day
This is not the post that I originally wanted to write to accompany these lovely photographs from a morning at the bluebell woods. But on the day I came to writing the original idea I had a terrible day, nothing bad really happened but it was just one of those days. And we all have those days but we never, ever seem to like to admit to having them. I can't say I like to do that either but something I've come to realise is that they're actually kinda important and here is why.
