What I Wore For A Practical Holiday & A Free Packing List
-this post contains a gifted item-
It’s been a long time since I’ve packed an overnight bag let alone for a week-long holiday. Before I moved in with my boyfriend I was an overnight bag pro but these days, not so much and I can’t deny that I have the tendency to overpack so the prep for our week away was intense. A question that often slides in my DM’s is about the more practical clothes I wear as I know all too well that when it comes to that type of clothing is that often it’s not the most stylish option out there so bridging the two can be difficult And I’ve been meaning to do a round up of the most loved practical clothing pieces for a while so this post is the perfect opportunity to do that as well as give you a little packing list just incase you’re going on an adventure anytime soon.
All The Mistakes I've Made In Blogging
Since I’m fast approaching eight years of blogging I thought it was about time I spoke about all the mistakes that I’ve made in that time. And even though there are things that I definitely wish I hadn’t done without those mistakes I wouldn’t have learned the things that I have and I might not be in the position I am now. One of the most wonderful things I think about blogging is that there is no right or wrong way to do it, no matter how many posts there are on the subject. It's all about what works for you and that is something that takes a lot of time and patience, but once you do find what works it's so worthwhile.
Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen list #7
Happy Friday! I don’t know about anybody else but now we’re in April I’m really getting desperate for some warmer weather and to pop on a dress instead of another jumper and legging combination. As much as I hate wishing away time, my mental health is like COME ON SUNSHINE. But, until we’re blessed with the weather that makes us not want to be inside watching Netflix here is this weeks read, watch and listen list to see you through the weekend.
The Best Of Netflix Right Now
Typically I reserve my Netflix suggestions for my read, watch and listen posts (fresh instalment coming Friday) but there have been so many things I’ve watched & enjoyed lately that I thought they deserved a post completely dedicated to them so I could divulge a little more detail. I find Netflix a little bit of a minefield when it comes to watching anything new so I really rely on others sharing their favourites to find something new to watch so I hope you find something you like in this post.
What To Do With A Week In The Peaks
-our stay at Manor House Farm Cottage was gifted-
If you follow me over on Instagram you might have seen that I’ve been in the Peak District for the past week. Having not been on holiday since 2012 I couldn’t wait to go away and have a rest from my day to day routine, and I was so excited to be headed to an area of the country that I already adore and know somewhat well. There is so much to do in the Peak District that it’s hard to fit it into just one week but here are the highlights from our trip. Naturally, everything we did had to dog-friendly as Josie and Edie packed up their belongings and joined us!
7 Things I've Loved Lately
It’s been a good few months since I’ve done a round-up of favourites! Maybe because it’s been such a dreary winter and I’ve not felt crazy inspired to do anything new but now the sun is shining I FEEL ALIVE. Now obviously, if you’re a regular reader of this blog then you will know that I’m very much a creature of habit so nothing in this roundup will be that much of a shock but anyway, here is everything I’m loving at the moment.
4 Winter Style Pieces I'm Taking Into S/S & My Current Style Inspiration
-this post contains gifted items-
Now, I don’t want to get my hopes up and transfer all my warm weather clothes onto my clothing rail only to be disappointed when it’s 10 degrees for the entirety of April. But, I can’t deny that things are feeling a lot warmer and I’m getting a little balmy in my big chunky knits at the moment. Whenever I do transfer my clothes across I tend to like to do it in sections and there are always plenty of things that I keep from my A/W wardrobe and this year they are;
My Most Loved Houseplants
After watching Jenna Marble’s video all about her houseplants it inspired me to write this as without a doubt one of the most loved things in my home is my plants and I shared her excitement for them all and their upkeep (apart from maybe the dusting). I’ve been collecting houseplants for around 5ish years now and whilst I’ve certainly had my fair share of casualties seeing them grow and thrive is something that I often wonder brings me far too much joy. Anyway, I thought I’d share some of my most loved plants in my collection, as well as the ones that I’ve found, are easiest to take care of.
My Top 4 Skincare Brands
Over my many, many years of trying out different skincare brands there naturally have been a few standouts. And whilst I don’t think I’d ever use just one brand only as let’s be honest, there is so much out there to try. But there are a few that have dominated my skincare collection and they are…
