Save me from the Spots

I have mentioned in many skincare posts now that I suffer from quite bad breakouts so I thought I would finally do an entire post on what I use to sooth my breakouts. First of all a little bit about the breakouts that I suffer with I believe it is cystic acne as I only ever get spots on my chin. I am actually really happy with how my skin looks everywhere else bar my chin. During my teenage years I never really suffered with spots until I hit 16 and then they arrived with vengeance and then swiftly went away went I went on the contraceptive pill Cilest and then spots stopped apart from the odd one I would get around that time of the month. Also I should warn you now if you don't like to know personal details just skim past this bit but I think its important to explain why I get the spots and what kind of acne it is. Anyway 5 years later of having no spots at all apart from the occasional one my skin went ballistic I had never seen my chin so spotty and sore and just really painful. I believe this is because I went onto the contraceptive implant which by the way did not agree with me at all and had all sorts of problems with. However I think with the change of hormones it has meant my skin has gone back to normal which meant a ton of breakouts for me to suddenly deal with. During all this time I was the most stressed that I had ever been with my final year of university which obviously made matters 1000 times worse. Now I have finished university sorting out my skin has been at the top of my priority list as well as of course finding a job. If you read my skincare routine you will know that I use a lot of Liz Earle products everyday which are so soothing on my skin when I suffer with a breakout but the products above are what I use to tackle the zits.

First of all I have added this into my skincare routine and its the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 wash and mask and I haven't been using it long enough to really have an opinion on it but so far so good! Next up is the Lush fresh face mask in 'Cupcake' this is actually my second tub of this and I have used this nearly everyday in the past 5 days or so because I am going away and it was due to go off and didn't want to waste it. This has picked up my skin dramatically after a lovely breakout erupted last week when I was visiting Sam in Devon I dont see much of a difference right away but the morning after my skin looks so much clearer and brighter. Lush grease lightening spot treatment is something I have mentioned before so I will just quickly talk about it. This product helps the spots clear up without leaving such a bad scar as they would normally and I apply it all over skin where the spots are to make sure they don't spread and it doesn't dry out the skin at all. Last but not least is the Estee Lauder Advanced right repair which I apply after toning and before moisturising and oh this product makes my look wonderful. I have found since using it that it really helps the spots heal quicker and clears up the scars from past blemishes as well as makes my skin look lovely and plump.  I will be doing a full review on the ANR in a few days so look out for that.

So that is how I fight my blemishes and I am really happy with this routine at the moment it is really working well for me. Now I don't really like to recommend skincare as it is extremely personal and what might work for me might not work for you so just keep that in mind. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful :)
