5 Things To Do When You're Lacking Body Confidence
Hopefully summer is on its way and that only means one thing, bare limbs. I think body confidence is one of those things that we all struggle with from to time. I know it's something that I've battled with for years. This year I want to wear pretty summer dresses and feel awesome in them. So here are a few things to do when you're lacking in body confidence.
Don't compare your body to others: The great thing about each one of us is that we're all different. I spent so many of my teenage years comparing my body to others and it didn't do me any good. Chances are the things that you don't like on your own body is something that somebody else would love to have.
Fake it: My biggest tip to finding any sort of confidence is to fake it. Even though it's terrifying the more you do it the more confident you will feel. There isn't a person on this planet who doesn't have a single insecurity and that's important to remember.
Appreciate what you do like: I don't particularly like my legs but hey I love my arms. Appreciating the areas of your body that you do really like is a great start to feeling more confident in general as it deviates from the areas you're not so fond of.
Don't be scared: If you want to wear that figure-hugging dress then go for it! Even if others don't like it you're never going to know as they wouldn't ever say anything. Living in fear of what others might think isn't going to result in a happy life.
Wear what makes you feel good: Sometimes the pressure to follow trends can become a little too much. I'm a firm believer that we should all be wearing the clothes that make us feel good not the ones that are on trend. The only person we should ever be dressing for is ourselves and who cares if that isn't fashionable?
