The Greatest Beauty Advice I've Listened To
Growing up in a family where beauty wasn't really a big deal it's safe to say that everything I've learnt has mostly been from the blogging world and that's awesome. And of course, it's obvious that you have to take everything with a pinch of salt as everyone is different and what works for one doesn't work for all. But here is the best beauty advice I've listened to over the years;

Flat Lay Photography Cheat Sheet
If there's one photography topic I could talk about for hours on end it's the art of the flat lay. And the reason why we all probably love them so much is because the essence of them is so simple but actually when it comes to taking a really good flat lay it's a pretty complex process. It's a topic that I get asked a lot about so I thought I'd put together a little cheat sheet that might make taking an awesome flat lay a little easier.

5 For A Quick Flawless Finish
As I've fallen in love with fuller coverage bases lately and that completely flawless look. It means I've obviously found a way to achieve a similar look without putting in a tonne of effort. We all know that I'm a bonafide lazy girl and of course that comes across to my beauty routine too. So here is a 5 step beauty edit if you want to achieve a flawless finish without all the work.

Why It's Ok If Your Mental Health Doesn't Look Like Everyone Else's
We're coming to the end of Mental Health Awareness Week so it felt like an appropriate time to finally write this post. I've wanted to talk about mental health in a more honest way for the past few months, but there's been one thing holding me back. Which is subsequently what this entire post is about. I'm so pleased that mental health is being spoken about more and more but it does worry me that people are becoming critical of their own well-being because it might not look like the stereotypical depiction of a mental health illness. So then they deem their symptoms not enough because it doesn't look like what's being spoken about and brush it to the side even when it's something that's really affecting them. So today I wanted to open up a conversation about mental health and why it's ok if yours looks different to someone else's.

The New Style Staple: The Midi Skirt
You know when you get so obsessed with a certain item of clothing that you then want to buy it in all the colours? Well, that's me and midi skirts at the moment and I never saw this new obsession coming. I've always liked my skirts, well, quite short as I always found them to be the most flattering on my figure. I worried that midi length cut me off at a funny point but after giving them a try again a few weeks ago I'm totally obsessed. They're my new staple for Summer and something I think every girl could benefit from having in her wardrobe.

Spotty Skin Saviours
It's been a while since I've spoken about anything spot related, which isn't a bad thing of course. After a rough patch last year and things being a little temperamental I'm glad that my skin appears to have returned to its somewhat normal state. And normal for me doesn't mean that I'm completely blemish free, I still get spots and here are some of my favourites for tackling them at the moment.

Why I Don't Think Being Mindful Is A Fad & How It's Changed My Life
One of worst habits without a doubt is that I'm incredibly sceptical. And when the entire mindfulness trend came about I was rolling my eyes so hard I'm surprised they didn't fall out of my skull. But the more I learnt about it and the more I came to understand mindfulness I realised it made so much sense and it's something I should probably try and give a go. And I know that the being more mindful and in touch with your intuition can sound a little hippy dippy but it doesn't have to be and over the past year it's something that has had such a positive effect on my mood so I wanted to share a few thoughts on it.

A Fool For Full Coverage
Whilst I can happily dabble in the world of tinted moisturisers and lightweight coverage bases I think my heart will always lie with a fuller coverage foundation. I used to think if you don't need that much coverage then why would you reach for it but that's not what beauty is about. You can wear whatever you like and if it makes you feel good then that's all that matters. And high coverage bases have come a long way in terms of formulation, they're no longer mask like and heavy and you can still achieve a flawless base without feeling horribly weighed down. I've been a real fool for them lately so I thought I'd share some of my most loved with you.

Dressing For When You're Bloated & Still Want To Feel Awesome
Last week on Instagram [follow me here if you fancy it] I joked about writing a post on dressing for when you're really bloated. I wasn't expecting it to get the response it did so I'm keeping my word. And I think we can all relate to struggling with being bloated and over the years of looking I've swallowed a melon 80% of the day I've learnt there is a certain art to dressing and here are some of my best tips for fellow bloated belly girls.
