Worth The Purchase: Homeware

Homeware is something that I got really into purchasing a few years ago, as I was still living at home with my dad I started off small so things like cushions, bedding and an unreasonable amount of houseplants. I knew I was getting older when I started to get more excited about new sheets than I did a new dress from Topshop. Now I live with my boyfriend there are lots of bigger pieces that we’ve had to buy and there are some pieces that have been so worth the investment that I thought I’d share them with you today just incase you’re in the market for some new homeware pieces.

The Best Of The Best In My Skincare Routine Right Now

-this post contains gifted items-

Skincare is something that I used to chop and change around a lot but then I realised that was not helping my skin in the slightest and I had to seriously cut back my routine. For a long time, my products were centred around spot fighting and diminishing the look of scarring whilst these days my main concerns are hydration and brightness and these are the products that are helping me achieve that right now.

8 Things I Really Use Every Day Without Fail

-this post contains gifted items-

The term ‘must-have’ has been so overused in the blogging world that it’s hard to know what people are really using and what they just like to have around as a just in case. My daily essentials have certainly changed a lot over the years that’s for sure, now I’m the human to two precious little sighthounds and I find myself walking through the woods more than I do sitting in a coffee shop tapping away at my laptop I have way more practical daily essentials than I do pretty. So from dog walks to what I use when I’m sat at my desk, these are the things that I really use every day at the moment...

Little Lifestyle Changes I'm Trying To Make In 2019

We all know that little changes usually amount to big changes but sometimes the change can be so subtle that we don’t actually notice the difference until we take a step back and look at the bigger picture. If you caught my post on my February goals then you will know, I’ve not set myself big traditional New Years resolutions this year and instead I’m trying to tackle things month by month as it makes so much more sense for me to do it this way. As well as trying to create more bite-sized monthly goals there are a few lifestyle changes that I want to make in 2019 and they look a little something like this…

Also, how excited is everyone that the nights are finally drawing out and Spring is in the air? When I’ve been getting up with the dogs at around 7am and I open the door to let them out the air feels different which fills me with excitement as Spring is on the way which means blossom galore. As usual, I’ve been saving up my most loved content online and here is everything I’ve been enjoying lately…

10 To-Do's For February

This year I’ve decided to change how I try and reach my goals and what I want to achieve. Instead of setting giant goals that spread over the entire year I’m taking things month by month and it feels so refreshing, I’m not sure why I’ve not done this before as it makes so much more sense as things change in our lives constantly which often leads to those big goals not making much sense anymore and then ultimately we feel like a failure when we’ve not achieved them. In January I didn’t really set myself that much to do as I simply wanted to get back into work and read a couple of books, both of which I did but for February I’ve got a few more things I’d like to get done and they look a little something like this.

The Power Of Scent | AD

-this post is a paid for advertorial with Ted Baker-

Fragrance is something that I’ve always had a special relationship with, it’s the one thing that I will apply daily regardless of what I'm doing as otherwise I don't feel quite like myself. It’s the final step in my routine whether I’m going out with a full face on in my favourite outfit or leaving without a scrap of makeup on and I think that’s the power of a good scent. It can boost confidence, evoke memories and it is without a doubt one of the most perfect gifts that you can buy either for yourself or for someone special. Ted Baker has just launched a brand new fragrance in time for Valentine's Day, it's called Est. ‘88 and I’m excited to share all the details about it with you today.

Everything I Wish I Knew Before I Went To University

When the 10-year challenge was floating around the internet a few weeks ago it made me realise that 2019 marks exactly 10 years since I went to university to study editorial and advertising photography. When I look back now at my time studying there are so many things that I would change and do differently, but they do say hindsight is a wonderful thing for a reason.
