6 Outfits To Wear When It Gets Really Cold

It's ironic that when I'm writing this post the UK seems oddly warm but at the beginning of the week we had a horrible cold snap. I wasn't prepared for it at all and as we haven't switched on our central heating just yet I woke up and could see my breath. So to say I wasn't ready for it feel so baltic is quite the understatement. When it comes to the colder seasons my already limited fashion sense is tested immensely.  As it's difficult to put together outfits that are somewhat fashionable but keep me warm which is my first priority alongside comfort of course. As I know I'm not the only one who doesn't like to be stood dithering here are some outfit ideas that are warm and well styled.

My Greatest Unexpected Beauty Loves

Photographing Used Beauty Products In A Beautiful Way

Whilst some might think it's beauty blogger blasphemy not to photograph a product before using it, it's not a practice that I partake in. Because I like to give my products a good test before featuring them that means I've had to find a way of photographing them in an aesthetically pleasing way. Whilst still getting a lot of use out of them because we all know that a smeared lipstick top might say well loved. It doesn't always scream photograph me. However, I'd rather see things looking a little less pristine because when there are powder remnants on the side of a palette I know that it's actually been used as I can't help but be sceptical when I see people holding up products that haven't been touched and they're telling me how amazing they are. Anyway here are my best tips for photographing well-loved beauty products in a beautiful way.

Let's Talk About...Vegetarianism

Before I dig deep into the topic of this post I just wanted to give a little disclaimer. Food and diet is an incredibly personal subject and there are very few if any people out there who should be telling anyone what they should or shouldn't be doing. I've debated writing this for a while as since cutting meat out of my diet it's had such a positive impact on my life so naturally, it's something that I wanted to share. I cannot bear to see other people critiquing other people's diet in any way, it's so inherently wrong. So this isn't a post where I'm going to be preaching about how amazing vegetarianism is and I'm much superior now because I don't eat meat as that obviously that isn't true. But it's been something that's made such a positive change in my life that I wanted to have an honest chat about it.

The Best Career Lessons I've Taken From All My Jobs

It dawned on me a few days ago that I've always been in some sort of job for over 10 years. I've never really discussed things like careers on my blog as I tend to content on this subject a little jarring as how people make their income is an incredibly personal matter. However, when said fact dawned on me it made me realise how important each job I've had has been and all the lessons I've taken from them. So from retail to education, here are the best lessons I've learnt in the past 10 years.
