The festive season is amazing for so many things, we get to see our loved ones a little more than usual, eat a tonne of delicious food and take a little bit of time off. But personally, I think it's an absolutely terrible time for our skin as we're so busy and probably not paying all that much attention to our complexion so things can easily go awry especially when you have problematic skin. So here are some of my favourite skincare products to reach for when I'm not treating my skin as well as I could be. 

One of my favourite things about beauty products is not only the way they make me feel but also the way that they're packaged. It's part of the whole beauty experience for me, maybe it's because I'm a visually driven person but it's always been this way. I'm drawn to pretty beauty products like a magpie is drawn to something shiny. Some might say the packaging of something doesn't matter because it's just superficial and even though I know what's inside is what counts overall. I can't help but favour things with pretty packaging and when you're paying out for something [especially luxury beauty] you, of course, want to look nice as well as it being functional. Just like when you buy clothes you want them to look nice as well as keeping you covered and warm. So here are is my ode to beauty products that are really, really beautiful. 

Personally, I don't think 2016 has been the most exciting when it comes to beauty. There have been very few things that have come along and truly wowed me and made me want to put down everything I'm doing and use. However, in the past few weeks, there have been a few things that have arrived into my life that have really wowed me and I've been so excited to write about them. And you know that age old saying that good things come in threes? Well, it turns out to be pretty true in this instance and here are the beauty products that I'm pretty obsessed with right now.  

Way before my love affair with beauty began I had a slight addiction to nail polish [not in a My Strange Addiction way I must add]. It's something that I've always loved and painting my nails is something that makes me feel 'done'. And even when I'm not using or wearing any other makeup I still feel polished with a good manicure. So over the many, many years that I've been painting my nails I've discovered the ones that last and the ones that don't. Of course, a lot of this is down to what you're doing with your hands. I'm typing constantly, dragging out props and peeling labels off way too often. As well as doing general life stuff and housework wreaks havoc on a manicure but here are the polishes that can withstand it all.
