Let's Talk: Ambition & Dreams

There is one question that I absolutely dread being asked and that is; what are your plans for the next five years? Even just alluding to that question fills me fear as I simply do not know the answer and I can't work out whether that's a problem or not. Every single day without fail I think about the future and sometimes just the thought of it sends me into a spiral of worry that keeps me up at night. And I know this a pointless exercise because nothing is ever promised to us, we cannot guarantee the future but we all spend so much time focusing on it. So today I wanted to discuss with you the topic of ambition, hopes and dreams and whether or not it's a bad thing to not have huge Pinterest worthy dreams.

An Honest Chat About Personal Style & How Mine Has Changed

Personal style is something that absolutely fascinates me and whenever somebody shares their personal style journey I'm always desperate to know why they wear the clothes they do. I'm not sure how we seemed to get here so fast when January seemingly lasted for about 4 months and now the rest of the year is passing us by at lightning speed. Anyway, as usual, when we get to the middle of the year I start to not only look back at the goals that I set myself at the beginning of the year but start setting myself new ones to try and reach within the next six months too and here they are.

6 Body Products That Make Me Feel Incredible & Keep My Tattoo's Looking Fresh

Something I never thought I would be would is a body care snob. But after looking at my bathroom shelf and the products that I find myself reaching for the most it has become apparent that I am. And you're either a person who really cares about slathering moisturiser on after a bath or you're not and I definitely am. I haven't always been this way that's for sure but since I've adorned my body in tattoo's it pushes me to take care of it more. And also the fact I am an absolute sucker for a bath, there is nothing that makes me feel quite as good as a bath. The Story Of Edie & Why We Got Another Dog

Any loyal reader of this blog will be all too aware of the story of my beloved pup Josie. We got her last year and I've written about her so many times and all the wonderful things she's taught me so many times. The decision to get a second dog was a scary one, as Josie was such a handful as a pup I thought it might be the same for another dog but I was so, so wrong. So here is the story of Edie and a few things we've learned about getting a second dog!

2 Summer Bases That Can Handle The Heat

If you're not from the UK what I'm about to say might seem absolutely ridiculous but the weather is pretty weird right now. And it's a good kind of weird, it's been pretty warm for the last month or so. I don't remember the last time it properly rained so it seems we're getting our summer early over here. Which means I've had to really look at the foundations I'm wearing as I'm blessed with my own natural highlighter so need something that can make my skin not only look wonderful but stay put too. Which is always way harder to find then you think. So here we have two old faithfuls that have been in my stash for a while but whenever the weather gets warmer they are always something I find myself reaching for.

Why I'm Going Back To Basics With Blogging

Whether you're a blogger yourself or a reader and consumer of online content then you will have more than likely noticed such a huge change over the years and it's hard not kept swept up in it. This year I've really looked at my blog, the industry and what I want to do and it's been difficult. I recently wrote a post all about why I think blogging will always be important and I still stand by every word I wrote but something I didn't touch on was how I'm going about the whole blogging thing right now. Although this blog is part of how I make my living which is always something that I've been super upfront about, 85% of what I do with this online is completely off my own back and always comes from a place of passion. I've seen quite a few bloggers who have been in this world for many, many years talking about this subject a lot lately too so here are a few thoughts on taking things back to basics.

Having now lived with my boyfriend for over a year and him having our house for now two and a half years we've certainly learned a thing or two about what it's like to have a fixer-upper.
