Getting Things Done Over The Festive Period When You Just Want To Relax

I really wanted to title this post 'Getting shit done when you just want to lay down and eat a tin of Quality Streets to yourself'. Because I think there is a small or large part in all of us that just wants to do that during the festive period. However, it's not always an option and even though it's a season that prides itself on rest I always find myself exceptionally busy in the run up to Christmas and then still having super busy days in the midst of the festive period. As much as we like to think the world slows down for a few days it doesn't and the vast majority of us still have to work to make ends meet. So here's a little guide to still getting things done when you're lacking the motivation to do so.

Soothing Spot Prone Winter Skin

I can't say Winter is the best season for beauty upkeep everything seems so much more difficult. For example wearing a coat when you have long hair is a sure fire way to achieving a dreadlock within a few hours and you end up spending up to an hour desperately trying to coax it out of your hair every night. And then of course what the ice cold winds, the air conditioning and baltic temperatures do to our complexions. My skin always struggles in Winter, it's always it's best in Summer but without fail when A/W hits I'm much more prone to breakouts and it's not quite sure what it wants to be. So here is a rundown of some of the products that I've found prevent you from feeling like your face might peel off and can also help with troublesome blemishes too.

6 Things I Love Doing On A Sunday To Have A Productive Week

I love Sundays, I've written about my undying adoration for the day so many times that I probably sound like a broken record. But there is just something so wonderful about the day, nothing seems stressful or rushed on a Sunday and you're allowed to get on with your day at your own pace. For me, Sunday is always a mixture of a working day and a day to myself to potter around and get general stuff done and then there are a few things I love to do to make sure I'm prepared for the upcoming work week and I'm excited to share them with you today.

5 Awesome Things To Do In December & Something Exciting For You

So, Hello! I'm back, well I was back yesterday but this is the first post I'm writing after I've had a few days away from the blog and I'm so excited to return. I wasn't away for very long, infact it was only 3 days but it turns out that was all I needed to feel like myself again and hit refresh on my ideas which were the most important things. In the past week or so I've been doing some pretty awesome things and I wanted to share them with you today. As well as hopefully give you some ideas for activities to do in the festive period as we're all going to be more than likely taking some time off in the next month.

Making Your Place Feel Like Home On A Budget

Homeware and interiors aren't something I've written about for almost a year? Which is surprising because they are by far one of my favourite things to talk about, browse and generally gaze it. If you've moved you will know not only how expensive it is but how hard it can be to put your stamp on somewhere so it feels like home. So here are some of my favourite ways to make a place feel like yours and none of them feel too bad on the purse strings.

Taking Care Of Your Mental Health & 5 Things That Feel Kind On Your Mind

Mental health is something that takes up a large part of my life but it's something I've always been very dubious about sharing online. In fact, I've only ever written one post about the topic in the past but it's something I want to try and be a little more open about. The past 6 weeks or so I hit a real low with my mental health state and from the outside it looked like everything was fine. And that's the thing with mental health it's not something that you can physically see so it makes it incredibly hard to understand for an outsider who has no experience with. So here's to breaking down some tough barriers and sharing some of the things that I find incredibly beneficial when I'm struggling.

Writing A Blog When You Find The Writing Part Hard

It might be deemed almost a given that if you've started a blog it's because you really enjoy writing. But that isn't the case for all of us and it's certainly not the case for me and it's something that I've wanted to write about for a long time. I'm not someone who is all that gifted when it comes to putting pen to paper or screen in this case and studying a creative subject only took me away from that skill further. So today I'm chatting about writing when you don't find it that easy and a few ways to build on your skills.

5 Minimum Effort Maximum Effect Style Essentials For Lazy Girls

As a teenager I used to love nothing more than planning and putting together outfits, I would spend hours pouring through my wardrobe to see what could work together. Maybe it's just because I've grown up and got lazy but I don't get the same satisfaction from doing that. The meaning of fashion has changed dramatically for me and even though clothes are an amazing way of expressing yourself I find the pieces I buy now are mostly just for practical reasons. But I do still crave the feeling of wearing an outfit that makes you feel awesome. So here are some of my favourite lazy girl essential wardrobe pieces that make you look put together without that much effort.
