Shaking Away The Winter Blues From Your Beauty Routine To Your Home
Now we're in February I'm well and truly ready to say goodbye to Winter and say hello to Spring. We're of course still a little while away from it actually being warm and with snow, on the forecast for next week, I'm being a little too wishful with my thinking. I'm itching to shake away the heavy blues of winter I've been switching things up a little from my beauty routine to my home.
5 Awesome Podcasts I've Listened To Recently
I've been really getting back into podcasts at the moment and there have been a few episodes that I've absolutely loved listening to so I thought I'd share them with you today in case you're in need of some fresh listening material for the week ahead.
Making Time For Reading When You Feel Like You Don't Have Any & Books To Read In 2017
To say that my time management skills have been a little crappy lately would be an understatement. As my boyfriend has had a few weeks off from touring it's meant my time has been split in more ways than I'm used to and I'm still not very good at juggling everything when he's back. And even though I've still been really good at getting everything ticked off my to-do list, keeping up with somewhat of a fitness routine and some of the other things that I like to do in life. Reading and hobbies have fallen by the waist side as there are only so many hours in the day. So today I wanted to talk about how to fit reading into your schedule when you feel like you don't have any free time and share some of the books I want to read this year.
What Order Do You Apply Your Beauty Products In?
I write about beauty all the time but something I don't do very often at all is talk about the order I apply my products in and I naively think that everyone just applies them in the same fashion I do and obviously that's not true. So as well as sharing my own beauty routine and the order I apply my products I'd love to know what order you apply your products in.
7 Small Things That Make Me Feel Calm & Productive
Describing me as a cool and collected person is something you'll never hear because I'm very tense to the point a yoga instructor once noticed that I naturally hunch my shoulders up to my ears and grinding my teeth is how I hold myself 'naturally'. So yes, not a calm person in the slightest there are some of the things that really help me to be less hunched up and somewhat calm. Being that tense all the time is terrible for you and something I've noticed is that it's not good for productivity at all.
Scents That Will Make You Swoon
Writing about perfume is something that I try and refrain from doing often because I'm absolutely dire at describing scents in a way that can let you get a feel for them. But as I'm having a real moment with fragrance at the moment I thought I'd do things a little differently and talk about the way they make me feel and the emotions they evoke when I spritz them on as that's probably one of the best things you can get from scent as we're all different and can get completely different things from the same scent.
7 Of The Life Mantras I'll Be Living By In 2017
Whenever a new year begins a lot of people like to pick one word to focus on for the majority of the year and live by the meaning of that word. But I'm far too picky to just choose just one word and I like to think of the mantras that I like to try and live my life by and align my values and goals with them. Posts like this are always something that I love reading from others as I feel like it provides a really good insight into who they are on a deeper level.
6 Unexpected Beauty Products That Fill Me With Confidence
There are plenty of obvious options when it comes to beauty products that can give you a boost of confidence like a killer red lipstick or a flawless foundation. But the ones that give me the most confidence are the ones that you probably wouldn't even think twice about but today I'm going to share my favourites with you and dig into some topics that are always a little awkward to discuss.
Why I Stopped Measuring My Self Worth By Work
The subject of self-worth isn't something I ever gave that much focus to until a few years ago. And the entire topic of self-worth is something that's so incredibly personal and how we find best to measure it is possibly one of the most individual things we can do. For so long I measured how much I thought I was worth by how much I was working and at its worst how much I was earning. Last year I made the decision that I wanted to stop doing this because it was making me incredibly unhappy and I knew deep down in my heart that wasn't how I wanted to measure how much I thought I was worth so I found other ways to measure it and it's made a huge difference in my overall happiness. After writing a post over a year ago on the subject of being average it really was the catalyst for this whole thought process and it's been something that I've been itching to write more about ever since. So here is why I stopped measuring my entire self-worth by what I do to pay the bills.
