Switching Things Up In Our Bedroom & Inspiration

For months our bedroom was a place that I just couldn't bring myself to love. I'm sure we've all had that feeling with a space where no matter what you do it just doesn't seem to work or look the way that you'd imagined. So at the end of 2017 and beginning of this year, I've been on a mission to work out a way to switch things up and here are some of the things that have only been small changes but made a big difference as well as what we're working up to doing in the long run.

6 Beauty Products That Can Help A Serious Case Of Flu Face

I'm sorry to keep on harping on about being sick, but it's all that I've known for the past week or so and as this is a lifestyle blog that is the only lifestyle I've known lately. And when it comes to being sick I do not do anything beauty related, the only thing I do force myself to do is brush my teeth simply because it's one of the best feelings ever when you're struggling with congestion. However, even though I don't have a dedicated routine there are a few products that I've absolutely loved using over the week and they've certainly made me feel a lot better. And as I know from my social media feeds that I'm not the only one suffering this season reaching for these beauty products might give you a little boost in your time of need.

4 Things That Getting Outside Taught Me When It Comes To Mental Health & Confidence

I realise the title of this blog post is somewhat strange because we all have to go outside, don't we? So let me explain a little further, last year I made a really big effort to just get outside and not outside to a city to go shopping but outside to go for a walk. And when I think about this now it's so funny to me that it's something I enjoy so much now. Because when I was a kid my parents would always want to go out for a walk and I would hate it, I used to dread it so much. But as I've grown up and stopped being such a bratty teenager I've loved getting out more and more but it wasn't until the last year that I really started to understand the importance of it. And due to having the flu and not being able to really leave the house it made realise just how much getting outside not only means to me but how much it's taught to me too. So I thought I'd share some of those lessons with you today...

What Do If Your 2018 Got Off To A Bad Start

So, hands up who else entered 2018 with the virus/flu/cold of death? Because the first week of the new year has been a complete blur and it's left me feeling like a big fat failure already. And I can't deny I'm a big fan of the new year as it's one of the easiest ways to draw a line in the sand and attempt to leave everything that happened in past 12 months in that year and start fresh. However, when you've got all the plans and resolutions and you feel excited to get on with them and they seem to go down the drain straight away it can be pretty disheartening. So in case, you're also trying to battle through January with a nose full of snot and chest full of phlegm or handling anything else that might have put a dent in your productive spirits then keep reading.

January Beauty Edit; The Flawless One

Not starting the year with a fresh beauty bag to root through on a nearly daily basis seems wrong. So as per usual I've brought together some of my favourite products, new and old to create a makeup look that I'm really digging at the moment. Safe to say that my skin isn't exactly looking it's finest after consuming a glorious amount of chocolate and falling asleep on the sofa with a full face of makeup on a few too many times. So not only do I need things to be a little more full coverage but I need that hit of hydration too as obviously I've not been drinking enough water and consuming way too much coffee. I'm on a mission to document how I switch around my makeup in 2018 and here is the first post to kick it off!

Thank you 2017

Thank you 2017

I was desperate to think of a way to write this blog post without talking about how quickly the year has gone. But, seriously, how quickly has 2017 gone by? It seems like a complete blur and now I'm wracking my brain trying to remember everything that happened in the past 12 months. I used to do a big roundup of blog posts but I thought I'd things a little differently this year...

Things I Want To Do More In 2018 & Things I Want To Do Less In 2018

Writing about the things that I want to achieve in the next 12 months seems like a given right now but something that isn't spoken about all that much is everything that we want to stop doing. I'm always wanting to push myself further and achieve more and more but there are always things that I'm pretty desperate to stop doing as well. And I thought it might be an interesting twist on the cliche [but fascinating] posts that are always floating around at this time of year.

5 Things I Regret Buying

Regret doesn't seem like the best word to use in this instance but lets be real using the title 'the things I shouldn't have bought in hindsight' isn't quite as snappy. Shopping has changed so much for me over the years, I rarely shop at the moment and it's a really good thing. I used to get the shopping itch so bad where I didn't feel happy until I'd bought something and that was such an unhealthy relationship to have with material objects. And of course, I do still love things and I will never think that is a negative thing and I'm on an ever-changing an evolving journey with how I shop but here are the things I've come to regret purchasing over the past year or so.

4 Beauty Treats That Are Always On My Desk & Things I Do Everyday To Feel Ready To Take On The Day

2017 has been the year of wearing a lot less makeup for me, there have been weeks lately where I've not reached for it at all and it's really refreshing. I used to rely on makeup so much to make me feel complete and to be able to leave the house and still feel like myself and even confident is a huge thing for me. Even on the days where I don't wear makeup, there are still plenty of beauty products I find myself reaching for and here are the 4 that have got permanent residency on my desk and the things that I do every day without fail to feel ready for work.
