Why I'm Going Back To Basics With Blogging
Whether you're a blogger yourself or a reader and consumer of online content then you will have more than likely noticed such a huge change over the years and it's hard not kept swept up in it. This year I've really looked at my blog, the industry and what I want to do and it's been difficult. I recently wrote a post all about why I think blogging will always be important and I still stand by every word I wrote but something I didn't touch on was how I'm going about the whole blogging thing right now. Although this blog is part of how I make my living which is always something that I've been super upfront about, 85% of what I do with this online is completely off my own back and always comes from a place of passion. I've seen quite a few bloggers who have been in this world for many, many years talking about this subject a lot lately too so here are a few thoughts on taking things back to basics.

Having now lived with my boyfriend for over a year and him having our house for now two and a half years we've certainly learned a thing or two about what it's like to have a fixer-upper. I can't deny the world of Pinterest and Instagram has certainly given me some unrealistic expectations about having a house. I think those perfect images get in everyone's head whether we like to admit it or not. We've got some really big plans of what we'd like to do with our house but those plans involve a lot of money which obviously takes some serious saving for as well as a lot of planning. So here is everything that we've learned from having a fixer upper and not having the funds to have it exactly how we'd like it to be anytime soon.

Hands down one of my favourite beauty products, ever, is blusher. It's something that I always get so excited to buy and an item that makes me feel so special when I apply it. I don't remember the last time I skipped out on blush which goes to show how much I love it. Over the years, I've developed quite the collection but there are 3 that I don't think I'll ever find myself without anytime soon and here are all the details on them. And no, you don't 3 blushers, in reality, you can most definitely get by with one but hey, it's nice to have options.

Out of all the clothing pieces that I own there is nothing I love more than loungewear. When I get home from being out whether that be from taking the dogs out or a social occasion. Then I will without fail get changed as soon as I get in into something more likely made of cotton and stretchy. Because when you're at home why be uncomfortable? Frankly, I can't believe that I've not written more about loungewear before as it's one of my favourite things to buy.
